Grand Hotel Europe Rooms

The complete renovation of the Grand Hotel Europe between 1989 and 1991 returned the hotel’s rooms and suites to a level of gracious elegance and luxurious comfort that St Petersburg had not seen since the era of  the Tsars. The hotel has 301 rooms, including 89 Standard Classic rooms, 123 Superior Classic rooms, 19 Belle Chambres (Junior Suite), 17 Terrace rooms (Junior Suite), 22 Penthouse suites (Junior Suite), 24 Classic suites and 5 Executive suites, as well as the Lidval Suite and the Rossi Suite. All rooms are of truly exceptional quality, replete with handsome period furnishings, tasteful decor, and a generous sense of space and ease. Guests may choose from among several different classes of rooms and suites. The entire second floor is a non-smoking area.

Standard (89) and Superior Classic (123) rooms vary in size and layout. Each comprises an entrance way and a bedroom with twin, double or king-size bed. Bathroom amenities include a hairdryer. Each room is equipped with a minibar, personal safe, satellite TV, international phone, writing desk and armchairs. The Standard Classic rooms vary in size from 16 to 25 square meters and face the inner courtyard. The Superior Classic rooms have a nice views of Arts Square and the famous Russian Museum, Nevsky Prospect, or the Philharmonic. Sizes vary from 25 to 29 square meters.

The Terrace rooms (17) on the fifth floor are all double rooms with balconies. Layout, style and size are similar to the Classic rooms. This rooms are facing Arts Square with striking views of the Church of the Spilt Blood, one of St Petersburg’s most beautiful landmarks.

The Belle Chambres rooms (19) are about twice the size of the Standard rooms. Furnished with antique and period reproduction pieces, they are equipped with all of the amenities available in the Classic rooms. The rooms range in size from 31 to 45 square meters. 15 are equipped with twin beds, two with double beds, and two with Grand Lits.

The Classic suites (24) feature carefully renovated historical furnishings and comprise an entrance hall, a lounge, a bedroom, a bath and a guest washroom. The suites range in size from 37 to 45 square meters; three are furnished with twin beds, and the remaining 21 are furnished with double beds.

The rest of the rooms are Duplex Suites, five Executive Suites and two Presidential Suites.
